Are you as ready for the lazy days of summer as I am? It will be here before we know it!

If you are needing some easy, fun activities to help keep your kids entertained this summer, check these ideas out! (and check out where to buy supplies at the bottom)

-Dot painting: Put different colored dots all around a piece of paper. Have your child use a paintbrush (no water necessary) and blend the dots together!

-Spell words or make creatures with Play-doh!

-Fruit Loop necklace! An oldie but a goodie. All you need is ribbon/string and fruit loops.

-Easter egg alphabet hunt: Put all 26 capital letters on one half of 26 different Easter eggs. Put the lower case letter on the other half. Hide one half and have them hunt to match up the pairs!

-Easter egg number hunt: Like above, but put numbers on one half, and put the matching amount in dots on the other half. Hide the dot side, have the kids hunt for the half and count the dots to match with its pair.

-Painting wooden pieces. You can get wooden goodies from any craft store of dollar store. Get some washable paint and have them decorate!

-So simple. Print your child’s favorite character off the computer, and have them color or paint it!

-Paper plate animals. Have them paint a paper plate and glue animal parts on it!

-Salt painting! Check out this website for more details.

-Rock painting! Pick out rocks from your backyard and paint them.

-Paint cute wooden words- you can get these at craft stores or dollar stores!

-Octopus paper towel roll painting! Take a paper towel roll and cut the bottom 4 inches into slits. Dip those ends into paint and dab it onto the paper!

-Where are my 80s babies at?? Remember shrinky dinks? My kids loved these!

Before
After

-Build and paint 3D creatures! I got this at a craft store.
