We got the inside of our house painted about a month ago. The builders used “builder grade” basic paint originally, and we always knew we would update it eventually. Pretty much anytime we came in contact with the cheaper paint, it would make a mark… so you can probably imagine how it looked after 3 years! 😉
I’m going to do a few blogs on the different colors we used. The first color is called Dorian Gray by Sherwin Williams. It’s a nice medium gray color that doesn’t lean too far in the beige or green direction. We used it in the dining room and in my daughter’s bedroom!
For the dining room, I was going for a nice neutral color that would help the wainscoting and trim “pop” more. This is a room where I could’ve gone bolder, but I didn’t want to lock myself into a color I may want to change in a couple of years. With this gray, I can leave the paint and change the colors of the accessories if I get bored of the current colors!
My daughter is about to turn 13, and she wanted a room color that wasn’t too young or girly. Kind of like the dining room, she wanted a paint color that could adjust to whatever trend she’s wanting in her room! This is how it looks now, without anything hung on the wall.
I would highly recommend this color if you’re looking for a medium neutral shade! It makes a statement without making too much of a statement.
