If you recall, we had another bedroom that we updated in the cabin. This one also had a closet that stuck out into the room and took up a lot of space. If we used it, it would be one thing… but, we didn’t.
We are finally done with this room!! Woohoo! Here’s a recap of the transition:
I don’t have a before with the closet, but this is what it looked like after my brother knocked it down.

My brother used paneling to cover the above section, he painted over it, and he replaced the flooring.

We moved the beds a different direction, now that we didn’t have to plan around the old closet.

The latest update shows a messier version of the room, as we had several of us staying in the house for Labor Day weekend. BUT, I wanted to show you how the room looks now! We hung things on the wall, we added in a dresser, and we added in a futon! There is so much more space now that the beds go the different direction.

In the above picture, the beds used to be on either side of the left window. The beds + the night stand took up the whole wall. Also, with the old closet and the dresser next to the closet, the beds jutted out into the room so there wasn’t much space to walk between the beds and the closet! This way, there is so much more space!

We were gifted the futon from my sister’s cabin (next door), and it is in great shape… BUT, I purchased a futon cover on Amazon in navy blue. It’ll help freshen this futon up, for sure. The good news is… 2 more sleeping spots!
