My daughter recently celebrated her 14th birthday, and she had about ten friends over to celebrate. We were going to get a cake or cupcakes, but then I suggested doing a candy salad. She immediately said YES!

What is a candy salad? It’s a mix of different types of candies- typically ones with “similar” tastes- that are dumped into a bowl. Almost like a trail mix, but just candy! You can scoop out a serving to put in little baggies or small cups.

Here is what we did…

We got all of these, minus the sweet tarts and mambos, and plus Mike and Ike’s and skittles. We got one bag of each.

We poured all of them into the bowl and took a big spoon to stir it all together.

This is after it was devoured.

The girls LOVED it! It was super easy. The candy definitely added up, costing about $25. We didn’t shop around since we decided this super last minute, so you might be able to find better deals if you decide to do this.

My high schooler and her friends have done this for a school snack. They’ll each bring in a bag of candy, dump it all into a bowl with a lid, and pull it out whenever they can eat!

You can do a chocolate mix, or a fruity and chocolate mix. Whatever floats your boat! Enjoy!
