Have you ever washed and dried your clothes, only to find those random grease-like spots on some of your items? For us, it happens very randomly… sometimes there might be a couple of spots, while other times there are up to 20!

Check out one of my husband’s favorite shirts:

It’s super frustrating when this happens, and while I haven’t figured out the cause, I have figured out a trick that helps a TON- Dawn dish detergent! But not just the normal kind… you need to get the Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray. You can find this at any major retailers, and it costs around $5-6.

ADVICE:

**Avoid doing this on clothes that require dry cleaning, or clothes that are made of delicate material (like silk or velvet).

**I would recommend doing a small test spot on your clothing first to make sure the Dawn doesn’t ruin it. Most of my items were made of cotton and were fine.

**Never use the Dawn soap as a detergent in your washing machine.

Here is what you do:

-Lay out the clothing item on a flat surface, and make sure the item is completely dry.

-Apply 1 spray per spot (more, if spot is bigger) of Dawn on every grease spot. Use your finger to rub it in to the spot. Let it soak in for a few minutes.

-If necessary, flip the clothing item over and repeat on the back.

-Launder as normal with your regular laundry detergent on whatever temperature you would normally use for that item.

It’s not completely perfect, but it is SO much better! Check it out!
