My friend, Rose, is back at it! She had this rolling cart that she wanted to update and restore, so she could put it to good use. It’s a GREAT piece of furniture that just needed some TLC.

The top left is metal, and the top right is wood.

She used the blue paint that she used for her pantry door. She painted the drawers, the door, and the sides of the cart blue.

For the wood parts on the top and on the inside of the left part of the cart, she wanted the color to match the color of her dining room furniture.

She mixed together two Verathane stains- Gunstock and Early American. She found the perfect combination to match her dining room.

Before staining, she sanded the wood that was going to be stained with a 120 grit sanding sponge.

She began with a coat of Gunstock, and then applied two coats of Early American.

Rose’s tip- WEAR GLOVES when staining! 😉

She applied the same stain to the inside of the cart and the shelf. She also applied some peel and stick wall paper on the sides.

She pieced everything back together…

Check it out in her kitchen! What an awesome transformation!
