Remember when we used 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner on my mom’s house siding? Well, we decided to use it again… this time, on our covered deck. The ceiling out there had so much mildew, as did the floor and the railings. Bleh!

I WISH I had gotten a before picture of the ceiling, but… I didn’t. Such a bummer. To give you an idea, this is kind of what the ceiling looked like before.

We mixed up the 30 Seconds cleaner with 1:1 water ratio, put it in a pump sprayer, and sprayed the ceiling. Most of it came off, but there were lots of spots left over. We took a rag to those spots and got them off.

Next, we tackled the railings. They are white, and had grown a lot of mildew over the years. The paint had started peeling on the tops of the railings in many places. We used the cleaner on the railings, we scrubbed the spots even more using The Pink Stuff, and I painted the tops of the railings with deck paint.

It looks SO MUCH BETTER! It’s not perfect, but overall, it looks so much cleaner and brighter. Check out some before and afters:
