My mom’s house always ends up getting mildew on one side of it. I guess it gets a lot of moisture and not a lot of sun light, because the other side of her house has no issues!

After the HOA letter (you might know what that’s like), my hubby and I went to her house to tackle the problem. We purchased a bottle of 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner. We poured it into a pump sprayer, doing a 1:1 ratio with water. I climbed up on the (gulp) 20 foot ladder and started at the highest point.

*A couple of tips. Wear clothes and shoes you don’t care about. Wear protective glasses that wrap around the sides of your eyes. I’d also recommend a mask.

*If you aren’t comfortable getting up on a high ladder, you can try out a battery-powered sprayer. These tend to spray further out.

Man, this stuff was great! I sprayed the siding in strips, going back and forth a couple of times (more, if needed). It would make the mildew just disappear. Some darker or tougher spots required more cleaner, but nothing took more than about 30 seconds (oh, I get the name now… 😉)

Pretty incredible, huh? The only thing I would recommend is having more 30 Seconds Cleaner than you think you might need. I had to run to a Home Depot mid-job to get more, and that one almost ran out, too!

I highly recommend this product if you are needing to clean mildew off of an outdoor surface!
