I will be honest with you. My son has played baseball in the same cleats for the past ~10 months, and I have not cleaned or washed them once. I know, I know. It’s bad. We are heading to Cooperstown soon, and I wanted to clean them as much as possible before we packed them for our flight!

I went to my go-to stain spot remover, Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Remover. I wasn’t sure how well it would go, and I honestly didn’t even try my best to remove all of the dirt… I just wanted a bit of improvement.

I got the shoes wet, sprayed them down with the stain remover spray, and then scrubbed the cleats with a small scrub brush. I could tell just by rinsing the cleats off after scrubbing that they were already so much cleaner. I washed the cleats in the washing machine in hot water, using detergent and a little bit of bleach.

I’m shocked! I will tell you that I’ve used the Miss Mouth’s spray on his baseball uniforms, too, and it has helped tremendously with getting the dirt out. I hope this helps you!
